Our Staff
All our staff are highly trained and are experienced healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for patients. Our staff are fully trained on how to care for patients with mental health challenges and complex needs. All staff are required to have mandatory training.
Training includes physical intervention, first aid, communication, positive behaviour and health and safety.
All staff are enhanced DBS checked and we can provide Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) and Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs) to escort patients. All our drivers are trained ACAs.
In addition, our service is led by our Clinical Director who is a GMC Registered Consultant Psychiatrist and Approved Clinician with extensive experience in inpatient, forensic, CAMHS and strategic services.
Expertise
RSTS provides high quality private ambulance transportation services for patients with mental health challenges and complex needs, either informal or detained under the Mental Health Act 2017.
We have extensive experience in secure and non-emergency transport and are able to provide Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) and Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs) to ensure the safe passage of patients.
Our team not only offers patient escort services, but also assists with administrative activities such as procuring statutory/section papers and liaising with receiving hospitals during transit.
We also provide a risk assessment prior to any journey, so that the appropriate vehicle, team and time of travel can be established. At RSTS, we believe that every patient deserves to be treated with compassion and respect.
